I believe what drives a good club forward are good club members. A good club member is someone who is reliable and consistently tries to create positive relationships within the club. What makes a club successful are its members attending meetings and events as often as possible - but of course there are exceptions like times on vacations and other personal responsibilities.
A successful club depends on members that volunteer. There are always events that require volunteers in order to be successful. I am sure the event organizer would deeply appreciate people stepping up to volunteer to make the event successful.
The Chicagoland MG Club is just this, we have awesome members in our club, we have phenomenal events to attend put on by superb people. Our monthly meetings consist of financial discussion, membership attendance, presentations, car shows in our parking lot, green table, raffles, and so much more. I am a strong believer in 3 E’s – Educational, Entertaining and Engaging. These are the contributors in what makes Chicagoland car club strong and healthy.
Team, I may not know a lot about the mechanics of an MG, but willing to learn and not afraid of getting my hands or clothes dirty. The love of an MG is the love of an MG. The love of people is well - “the love of people” and this is what I vowed to do. To actively listen, show respect and appreciation and act with integrity while seated as our clubs Leader.
If you have any questions regarding club matters, or just want to talk – please feel free to call, text or email me… I will make time to talk. Stay safe and healthy while Driving your MG,
, Achieves, More. Till next year, Calgary 2023.

Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.” – Jenny Han
My MGB is running the best it’s been and I’m trying to drive it as much as possible. That being said the summer has been full of vacations and Scouting Adventures.
I have had a wonderful summer, but a lot of it was spent away from my MG. I had a wonder family vacation going to Colorado. I did get to spot an MGA on a trailer while I was in Colorado Springs since the NAMGAR GT47 was going on
Tom’s Garage on Wednesdays is still very active, and we have had a ton of fun. Tom is working on his custom MGB with a V6 and RV8 interior. Dean has been working on his MGA Race car. We also always have some random small projects going on.
My latest adventure has been a High Adventure Scout trip kayaking the Apostle Islands. We had 7 scouts and we packed all our camping gear and food into the kayaks. Did a day of training on Monday and headed out to the islands on Tuesday for camping a kayaking all week. It was an amazing week of watching the scouts lead the adventure and explore the islands.
Now I’m hoping to finish out the season getting back into my MGB. I know we still have some great events coming up with the Westmont Cruise Night on August 18th and the Tally Ho Rally on August 21st. I’m hoping I get the chance to join everyone. Life is full with two teenagers and I’m loving every moment. Let’s enjoy the rest of the summer magic.
