CMGC President Phil Wydra opened the ZOOM virtual meeting at 7:04 pm.

Car Projects:
Bob Simon noticed a wet spot on the floor on the driver’s side. Explaining that his car was garaged, the hydraulic system was the suspected culprit. Replaced the clutch master and filled with DOT-5 fluid. Problem appears resolved.
Walt Kreitling – Decided it was time to replace the charcoal filter in the emission control unit since it hasn’t been touched in all the years he has had the car. Also noted he is looking for a replacement the under dash fiber panel on the passenger side. They are listed in the Moss catalog, but not available.

Staff Reports
Treasurer - Jim Compton – Reported earlier this month the accounts are: $2,940 checking, $26,054 savings, Total $28,994.
Library – Paul Pickley No report.
Membership – Victor L’Heureux New Member packets were be sent to five new members earlier this month. Paid membership is now 209 members.

Driving Events
Dean Hickenlooper noted the drive toStarve Rock State Park occurred on October 17th. The drive traveled back roads and stopped at the main lodge in the park. Due to the large crowds, the group continued a tour of the park area in the cars and returned to the starting point via a different route.
Dave Bralich noted the Fall Tune-down and Chili Party will happen on November 1st at his house.
Ann Snyder reported that the Cruise to the Rock has been cancelled for this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

Bill Wildt of Motorsports Unlimited issued the following:

“I guess I can’t put off a decision any longer ... Thanksgiving 2020 is a little over a month away and it doesn’t appear there is going to be a dramatic breakthrough in fighting the COVID19 pandemic. That means, after 25 consecutive years of “Gathering at the Rock” to acknowledge America’s first auto race held on Thanksgiving Day 1895, Motorsports Unlimited will not be there in 2020. It is not an easy decision, but I cannot, in good conscience, participate in something that may help spread this virus ...
Like everyone, I am hopeful this pandemic will be behind us in 2021 (and we’ll all still be here). The risk (however small) is too great to continue this traditional Thanksgiving Day event this year. I look forward to seeing everyone Thanksgiving morning 2021 to continue this important tradition ... The “Rock” isn’t going away ... just demonstrating common sense this year while we collectively struggle with this worldwide plague ...”
You guys (Jake & Ann) and the Chicagoland MG Club have been the largest and longest running supporters of our annual Thanksgiving Day acknowledgement of America’s first auto race. I’m relieved to hear you understand ...

No other events to report.

New Business.
Window decals - The CMGC window stickers will be distributed to all members. Phil to contact George Phariss to purchase additional stock. The thought was to include the sticker with the December mailing packet containing the voting ballot, dues envelope and CMGC membership directory.
Natter ‘N' Noggin – Doug Clark proposed having the N&N via ZOOM. A show of hands from the attendees looking for a volunteer to host this event did not support this motion.

With no further business to discuss, meeting closed at 7:36 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Victor L’Heureux,
CMGC Secretary
