AN MG WISCONSIN WINE, BEER, AND CHEESE TOUR - IN ONE DAY!

On the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, 22 cars, including 15 MGs (4 T-types), two Triumphs, two Minis, and an Austin Healey, crossed the "Cheddar Curtain" and returned the same day on Amy & Russ Mehaffey's Wisconsin Wine, Beer, & Cheese "Stop".

Driver’s meeting stars off the tour.

CMGC and VMGCC members gathered at a familiar starting point in a Deer Park shopping center before wheels hit the road just after 9:30 a.m. after the route instructions were distributed.
Some in roadsters / convertibles had the foresight to raise their hoods before departing, as we encountered a couple of rain showers early on the route (as well as in the afternoon).

The rain was getting a little heavy, so up went the tops before the heavy stuff started!

Our tour planners did a commendable job choosing some good driving roads, and in planning "pit stops" (i.e., for petrol, stretching legs, and "using the facilities") in the Wisconsin towns of Walworth and Palmyra. Many also ate snacks or a quick lunch during these hiatuses. The stops also gave us time to diagnose and fix a couple of minor mechanical and electrical issues with our LBCs.
