Guest Speaker
Larry Maddock, owner of MG Auto Electric, provided us with an enlightening and useful presentation on his services for our LBCs. His shop rebuilds electric components for vintage cars - including British. They will work on alternators, generators, regulators, and starters. Larry presented a number of "before and after" examples and answered questions.

Car projects
Steve Sparks – Headlamp is now working due to crack/missing bulb.

Driving Events
Past events were: Car Safety Clinic for Seniors October 8th - was a great success many cars attended. Dean, Bill and other Team members were a great help.
Wine, Cheese, Beer Drive October 9th - good attendance, guesstimate 23, but not sure. Beautiful weather and color changes, all had a good time no breakdowns. That we were aware of, except Tim Schafer had a radiator leak, and went slow going home.
The upcoming Driving Events are: Halloween Rally October 29th, Fall Tune-down November 6th, Amtrak Road Trip to Detroit in January.

Old Business
Elections – CMGC staff elections will be happening soon with nominations now open. Melissa Gonzales, Paul Pickley and Kevin Carlson – President, Vice-President, and Treasurer respectively – have indicated they will be on the ballot. Secretary Victor L’Heureux will be stepping down after thirteen years in the position. Driving Events Coordinator Jamie Schafer will also be looking for a replacement although not an elected position.

New Business
Swap Meet – Membership in attendance approved a go-ahead with the coming year event.
CMGC Awards Banquet - around Feb or March – starting to source places and build a committee.
Future Guest Speakers
November - Apex2apex motorsports will be presenting. Ralph will bring some goodies for purchasing and things to show and tell.

With no further business to discuss, meeting closed.

Respectfully submitted,
Victor L’Heureux

Right Hand Drive
from our Vice-President

I finally got a chance to do a rally. My wife (Ami) and I went on the Wine and Cheese tour. The route was a lot of fun. Even though I’ve traveled through southern Wisconsin a lot I was on different roads. Those roads less traveled had a great scenery. It was cool to caravan in a large group of classic cars. The responses of the bystanders were exciting. At times it felt like we were in a parade.

I know this was considered more of a drive than a rally since we all traveled together, but it was a great start for us. The end of the rally was Mars Cheese Castle. We have driven by this place a couple of dozen times, but never stopped. Now I don’t think I’ll be able to travel past Cheese Castle without stopping. Lots of great cheese, meats, wine, and beer.

Doing this rally increased my confidence with my MGB. I know some day I will break down and get stranded in this car. I don’t ever want that fear to keep me from having fun and traveling in this great car. Hopefully many more rallies are in our future.
