Dear fellow MG enthusiasts:
This last year has been one
of the busiest, most fun-filled in club history with competitive driving
events, social events, car shows, swap meets, train trip, camp out, seminars
and interesting speakers at the club meetings. For 1999 the club officers
have promised even more events to suit the tastes of our membership. Look
for a competitive driving school, more how-to-do it seminars, a picnic and
pool party, and more informative speakers at our meetings. Of course, we
will still run our full complement of traditional CMGC events including
rallies, Land's End, Abingdon Weekend, and Abingdon Trials Enduro, Swap
Meet, Autocross, etc.
However, in order to fully
participate in all the fun, you must be a club member in good standing!
Dues for the 1999 driving season have again been set at $18.00-- THE BIGGEST BARGAIN IN TOWN!
Please make your checks payable
to the Chicagoland MG Club, and mail today (remember, 33 cents postage now).
Remember your membership also entitles you to one full year of our award-winning
magazine, the Driveline, mailed to your home. It's always filled with useful
info, tips, stories and good gossip about your fellow club members. You
won't want to miss a single issue.
A note to our newest members
who joined the club under our special millennium promotional incentive:
Starting in August 1998 your dues have been credited for the year 1999.
If you have any doubts about whether you owe dues, just check your listing
in the new CMGC Membership Roster that you should have recently received.
Below your phone number on the right side of the page you will find the
year or years for which your dues are paid.
Let's make this greatest most
successful year in club history. With talk of bringing the MG back to the
American market in the near future, you don't want to be left out so mail
your dues today!
Safety Fast,
Steve Selan, Club Secretary
