Land's End Rallye
Hosted
by the CHICAGOLAND MG CLUB
June
12th & 13th
In the spring
of 1925, a tradition was started by the running of a cross country
rallye. The rallye brought different auto manufacturers together
in order to see how well their cars would compete against each
other. They called it the Lands End Endurance Rallye or
Trials and ran it from London to Lands End, a distance of
about 250 miles. A true test of man and machine, it was driven
with various road conditions and road trials along the way. Thus
in the British tradition, this rallye will be run entirely over
back roads away from maddening traffic.
First car
off will be at 10am on Saturday, June 12th, from the TA Travel
Center located at the Rt.20 exit on I90 (Marengo exit). The rallye
is open to all British clubs.
