Sure. I drive a lot in traffic at night, and I do this all the time. Adjust the dash mirror downward slightly so the headlights behind you fall just above the top edge of the mirror. The light will then light up the tip of your nose without blinding your eyes. When you want to see what's behind you, just tilt your nose down slightly, and you can once again see the headlights in your mirror.
