The Steering Column
New Year Greetings to All
Sharon Anderson and I along with our co-officers wish to thank you for your spirited attendance at the Holiday Party. Many thanks to everyone who brought a gift/gifts to share with friends. After all the anxious, nail biting “will we have enough people” moments it turned out to be a splendid party. It was a joy to see each and every one of you. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.
We are at the beginning of a brand new “MG” year. Elections were accomplished smoothly thanks to the first-rate ballots created by none other then Barney, your responses and Bill Hedrick’s assistance in receiving and tallying the results. A fine team of officers has been elected and stands ready to steer us through another eventful year. To them I offer my heartiest congratulations and support. To all I say - Thank You.
Again I remind you, the support and participation of the membership is what keeps the Chicagoland MG Club alive. We have all worked hard to bring CMGC to the level it is today. Let us continue the tradition.
As always there is much to look forward to. For starters let me remind you of three annual events which are close at hand. On January 19 thru 21, 2001, we will be taking the Amtrak train trip coordinated by Ann and Jake Snyder. This time we are off to South Bend, IN to visit the Studebaker National Museum.
Next is the Awards Dinner on February 18th 2001. In the past this has been a well-attended event. Don’t fail me now.
The Swap meet will be held on February 25, 2001. Your help and participation is necessary to help make this event a success, which in turn benefits CMGC.
So there you are my friends, off and running. Get those calendars out and mark the dates. CMGC counts on you being there
Wishing You A Safe & Happy New Year
