MG Bucks - The MG Bucks program is in effect again this year. Club members will receive “MG Bucks” for attending certain events and for wearing certain “MG” related apparel to club meetings. Qualifying garments are souvenir T-shirts & the like from any year MG event (caps, club regalia and generic MG items do not count). We hope that seeing these items will instigate some curiosity and motivation amongst the membership to attend similar events as they occur.

Car Shows - This year we will again be encouraging members to attend various car shows in the Chicago area, and we will award MG Bucks for attending certain shows. The intent is to continue the program, started last year, of introducing the general public to MG automobiles. Since MG’s are no longer to be seen in dealer showrooms, media advertising, or new product reviews our best hope of attracting future members lies in displaying our cars to people who may develop an interest in them. And besides, car shows are fun to attend for everyone. This year’s lineup of MG Buck qualifying shows starts in May and will be listed in the May Driveline.

April Meeting - The meeting will include a slide show of cars photographed at the 2008 Amelia Island Concours as well as some interesting examples from the Lane Motor Museum (Nashville) and the Barber Motorsports Museum (Birmingham).
