The Search Continues ...
Where will we settle for our next Natter 'n' Noggin' location? The choice is yours.
Yes, the search for a new N&N location is still open, and actually, we ran out of good qualifying suggestions. So far we've been to Roundhead's in Downers Grove in November, Stadium in Rolling Meadows in December and January, and Mullen's in Lisle in February and March. We've had three more locations nominated however; Galvin's in Chicago which couldn't accommodate our group on Tuesdays while Ballydoyle in Downers Grove and Quigley in Naperville didn't qualify because they are located too far from an expressway. So please, come up with more good ideas for the next couple of Months. You know the rules by now: less than one mile from an express way, plenty of free parking, private or semi private area for our club, reasonable prices and menu selection, and a low noise level. Some members also suggested to settle on two locations, one more South and one more North and we go to each of these in alternating months. We like the idea very much, but that doesn't make the search any easier because then we need two locations!!!
For April we have an officers' suggestion; Finn McCool's Irish Sports Pub which is located right at
Rt. 53 in Rolling Meadows / Schaumburg. In fact it is about next door to Stadium. (where we were in December and January) The restaurant has hosted several other car clubs and Mike the manager knows MG's. He owned a Midget and his father had a T Series and a B. The reservation is under the club name, and they know that we're not all arriving at the same time and need separate checks.
