The CMGC is doing a project car!
Work on the project car continues. On the last session, work continued on removing the old and rusty sill sheet metal on the driver's side. Removing the old stuff is one of the tougher parts of the job and if done wrong can mess up the project. On the next few work days we'll be continuing work on the rocker panels by welding in the driver's side sheet metal and moving on to the passenger's side. I plan on us doing one side with a Heritage panel and the other with a Steelcraft panel so we can compare the fits.
We need a good showing of people to show up and work on this car to keep it going. We asked around for people's opinions and got a very positive response, Jim was kind enough to donate the car, the board has budgeted an ample amount of money to buy parts, all we need now are people to show up and work and learn about MGs. An average of at least 6 or so people per session should do it, and that's a lot less than the usual turnout for a tech session.
Upcoming dates: Sat. 7/8 - Sill work. Sat 7/15 - Sill work. Sat. 7/22 - Finish sill work? or ??? I'll be up in Wisconsin the last week of July, so no work on the last weekend. See you at the shop, Wade
