CMGC Project Car Report
Club project car work dates are "tentatively" set for July 14 and July 21 at Wade's shop in Homewood, but subject to change. The project car might also move to another location sometime soon. If you intend to attend on those dates, please contact Wade a day or two before to verify the arrangements. Also let us know if you want to be on the project e-mail list.
Do come to help out. The car still needs some wet sanding, painting of the engine bay, assembly and painting of the engine, and installation of the gearbox and engine prior to body painting.

Addendum / Revision
The car has been moved to Barney Gaylord's home garage/shop in Naperville. 25W151 Lacey Ave, Naperville, IL. This has easy access from Ogden Avenue (US-34) or I-88 at Naperville Road (click for map).
This shop has limited air, hand tools, welders, etc., but it would be helpful for people to bring their own hand tools. Keep an eye on the website for notes and photos on progress and what upcoming things we'll be working on. You can also contact Jim or Wade or Barney to get updates.
Schedule of project car work dates:
July 14, Saturday at 9am - engine bay paint, engine assembly and paint, brakes assembly, wet sanding
July 21, Saturday at 9am
July 28, Saturday at 9am
Aug 4, Saturday at 9am
Aug 18, Saturday at 9am
Aug 26, Sunday at 10 am
Body repair work and body re-assembly has been finished, currently leaving a little filler and smoothing work and some wet sanding to be done prior to painting. As soon as we can finish wet sanding (most urgent priority) and some cleanup the car will be painted. Some detachable parts (heater, pedal box, etc) are being refurbished separately. The engine needs to be cleaned and painted, mated to the gearbox, and re-installed, along with some brake parts. After painting comes installation of bumpers, grille, lights, windscreen, interior, and some exterior trim. If you're wondering what is going to be done on any particular day, feel free to call.
