Natter ‘ n’ Noggin Search Contest
Attendance at Natter ‘n’ Noggin, now held monthly at McNally’s Pub in Elmhurst, has dropped off this season. Some members have identified pricing and noise levels as probable causes. Since neither of these are likely to change, we would like to locate a new site to conduct our monthly Natter ‘n’ Noggin…and just to make it interesting, we are going to pursue the search as though it were a contest. And since it’s a contest, the winner will get a prize.
So here’s the plan: If you know of a place that you think would be a great Natter ‘n’ Noggin site, contact Jim Evans or Reinout Volt with the name and location. Our Natter ‘n’ Noggin investigative team will check it out; if it meets the club’s needs we will schedule a Natter ‘n’ Noggin to be held there. Then, after several sites have been tested, we will poll the attendees to identify a winner. And if you have nominated that winner, you will get a prize.
Here’s some ground rules for a good Natter ‘n Noggin site: Must have ample free parking; must be within a mile of an Interstate off ramp; must have private or semi-private area for our group; must have reasonable prices and menu selection; must have a low noise level. Bonus points if it has a British pub type atmosphere.
This search may take several months, but the Natter ‘n' Noggin investigative team is willing to make the sacrifice of checking all nominations. In the meanwhile, Natter ‘n' Noggin will continue at McNally’s unless publicized differently in the Driveline or the website.
