The CMGC is doing a project car!
Work continues on the car. Structural repair is pretty much done but there’s plenty of grinding, stripping, and sanding to do before we can move ahead to priming and painting. We’ll also do the front suspension work this month. Lack of participation will cost the club money; I cannot store this car more than one day a week so it’s getting stored in a unit the other 6 days of the week. Keep that in mind when you’re deciding whether to come help get your club’s car done.
Schedule:
Sept 2 – Stripping, sanding, and priming.
Sept 9 – this is British Car Fest weekend; no work scheduled unless you call me and let me know you want to come work
Sept 23 – Front suspension refurbishment. This needs to get done in a day for the reasons mentioned above, and it can be unless there’s a poor showing. But you all want to come see how to do this anyway, right?
Sept 30 – more paint prep and priming, and/or gearbox seals and gaskets
