The Passenger Seat
Is the driving season over? When is its official end? Is it the first frost? Is it the first snow? Is it when the defroster must be augmented with an ice scraper, or when the air coming off the firewall and floor is as cold as outside? There are those of us who never put our cars away, who won’t drive it if there is salt on the roads, who don’t care if it gets wet, who garage it after a spirited run in the sun and who don’t drive them at all. You are probably trying to pick which group is you. You know that I have evolved from the first group to last and have been in all of them thru my years of MG ownership. I wonder what it means. Am I getting older (even if I am I won’t admit it)? Is my “new toy” getting old? Is it time to move on? No no no,I will keep my MG forever or at least until another pretty fender comes along to woo me away.
BIO
I am a Travel agent who has been a member of the Chicagoland MG Club since 1996. I have owned only one MG, a 1948 TC since 1996 and have been in love with imports since I saw a 1950 something TD when I was about 10.
