The meeting was called to order by Bill Mennell at 8:06 PM. We had 33 members and guests in attendance.
PAST EVENTS
The Halloween rally was held on Oct. 26.
We had a MG stripping party on Nov. 2 at Tom Sotomayor’s. It started at 9:00 and ended about 3:00. 15-18 people attended.
nte Ford in Melrose Park. There were 24 cars and we had the use of five lifts.
UPCOMING EVENTS
On November 23rd, Dave Bralich will have a tech session replacing the doors on his ’67 with one from a ’76.
November 27th is our annual Cruise to the Rock. This is in honor of the 108th anniversary of the first auto race in the US.
December 13th is our Holiday Party. Details are to be found elsewhere in the Driveline or on our website.
The weekend of 1/16-18 will be our annual Amtrak Road Trip. We are planning to go to Detroit for the North American Auto Show. Contact Jake and Ann Snyder for information.
February 29th is our Annual Swap Meet held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. Contact Jim Evans for information.
July 7/15-18 is our annual Road America camping trip. Advise Jake Snyder if interested.
REPORTS
Howard Turk reported that we had a new acquisition to our library, MG and MGBGT Problems and How to Fix Them. He expects a large demand for this book.
Dave Ransom reported on regalia. We have the 2004 MG Calendars in stock as well as CMGC scratch pads. Contact Dave if you are interested.
OLD BUSINESS
Nominations for Next Year: Currently nominated are Mike Hirsch for Secretary, Wade Keene for Vice President and Bill Mennell for President. One new nomination, Jim Evans for Treasurer was made by Reinout Vogt and seconded by Dave Bralich. Jim was absent and this is pending his acceptance.
George Goeppner thanked everyone for their donations of model cars for the Mercy Home for Boys. The Club also made a cash donation.
There was no new business.
The 50/50 raffle, $27, was won by Shirley Goebbert.
