Champagne British Car Festival
May 31—June 2, 2013
The Champagne British Car Festival had its beginnings as an all-British car show in the spring of 1992. In association with the Illinois Flat Land British Car Club and co-sponsored by the Central Illinois Triumph Owners Association and the Prairie Octogon MG Club, the festival found its current location at the David Davis Mansion in the near east side. The host hotel is the Bloomington Hawthorn Suites.
The organizers at the festival have always worked hard to give the CBCF an identity of its own, with organized activities beginning on Friday evening and continuing through Sunday afternoon with car display. Popular activities throughout the run in Champaign included funkanas, pub crawls, double-decker buses, high teas, picnics, the dawn patrol breakfast run, and more.
The Champagne British Car Festival has become an annual event for many British car enthusiasts in the Midwest for more than two decades.
