31 Members in attendance
CMGC President Dean Hickenlooper opened the meeting at 7:0 pm. Dean recognized memberJim Wales of Chicago. Jim is the owner of 1976 yellow MGB.
Swap Meet
Jim Evans noted that the Swap Meet is only a couple weeks away and the vendor response is lighter that it has been in past years at this time. This year we opened to other sport car marques. Jim passed around a sign-up sheet for assistance in setting up and manning the entry doors during the event.
Car Projects:
Bill Kalafut is currently working on the recently purchased MG -YB.
Project Car – Dean noted that the MGA car is at a point to be sold AS-IS. The car is drivable with new brakes and running engine, still much work to be done to make it a road-ready car. Kim Tonry was asked to take a number of pictures for the sales brochure

- 2019 Summary – Dean Hickenlooper – 2018 saw several initiatives accomplished with a few still on-the-table for the new year.
- Membership - Victor L’Heureux - Membership increased slightly to 250 members at years’ end with 24 new members joining the CMGC in 2019. Our current renewals to-date for 2020 total 169 members. This is slightly less than previous year’s renewal progress. There are potentially 85 current members that have not yet renewed their membership to-date.
- Regalia - George Phariss – First new items are Club Logo sew on and Iron on Patches. Continue to look for new products. Looking for other means of making name tags as well as coming up with a semi-temporary name tag that we give to each new member when they join the club. Began the process of getting rid of old inventory such as glassware through our 50/50 raffle process.
- Library - Bill Mennell - For calendar year 2019 we spent $41.76, $31.29 for books and $10.47 for shipping. In 2019 37 books were added, mostly thru donations. This brings the total number of items (books, DVDs, VHS, and CDs) to 254. This includes some duplicates.New this year the library inventory is on a computer spreadsheet, which will be emailed to the members periodically.
- Website – Victor L’Heureux - The club web site seems to be soldering along and doing its job as intended (since 1998), hosting about the same number of worldwide visitors as is common in recent years. It is regularly updated on demand for upcoming events and reports of past events, and the new issue of the club newsletter every month. Our 22nd-year seasoned website is quite popular on the world scene, like the world

Total cost of the web site server account and domain name registrations is just shy of $200 per year (mostly for the server account fee), or about $0.07 per month per member.
