Monthly Meeting Minutes November 21, 2022

CMGC President Melissa Gonzales opened the meeting at 7:03 pm. No new members present.

Meeting Minutes – October meeting minutes as written in the Driveline were approved by membership.

Staff Reports
Treasurer's report – Kevin Carlson reported via email that the club has healthy balances in both checking and savings accounts.
Librarian – No report.
Membership – No change from last month - The current membership in good standing is 221 – 33 new members since the 1st of the year.
Website – on-going with streaming ahead with the help of a new team member assisting us.

Guest Speaker
Ralph and Scott of Apex2Apex - catering to the motorsports, sports car, petrol-head enthusiast, supplying thousands of parts from hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers – was our quest speaker this evening. A number of items were on display including the Element Fire Extinguisher – a compact and easy to use dry chemical extinguisher..

Car projects
Dean Hickenlooper – Spent a little time working on the Race Car. Tom Raddatz – working on the Jaguar. Russ Mehaffey - working on replacing the existing Weber carburetors with SU’s.

Driving Events
Past events was: Fall Tune-down November 6th - was a great success many cars attended.
The upcoming Driving Events is: Amtrak Road Trip to Detroit in January. Spring Tune-up will be at Don’s Auto Ade in April

50/50 raffle – Dave Bralich was the winner of tonight’s drawing - $63.

Old Business
Elections – CMGC staff election nominations concluded this evening with Sharon Powell nominated for Secretary position. Ballots will be sent out in December for membership voting.

New Business
Club Project Car - Dean Hickenlooper noted the work on the club project car has started. Body panels of a doner car have been removed and hopefully will be welded in place soon. There may be a need to re-evaluate this car as additional problems keep surfacing. This project may be more work than we are willing to do.
Storage Locker– Kevin Carlson noted that the rental expense is increasing to $134/month for our 10x10 space. Membership in attendance approved a go-ahead to Kevin to pursue looking for a different location.
CMGC Awards Banquet - around Feb or March – starting to source places and build a committee.

With no further business to discuss, meeting closed at 8:20 pm.
