Go Brit Baby! - Tech Sessions
As your new Technical Coordinator, I want to encourage everyone to come out to the many tech. sessions CMGC will be having in 2001. I also want to thank Dave “Cowboy” Bralich for all the great Tex Sessions he set up in 2000. These sessions are always fun and provide a wonderful way to get exposure on how our MGs work.
Please contact me if you have a project you would like to club to get involved with as I would like to get it posted to the website and in Driveline.
Do you have a fix-it idea for your car that you need help with? Something you don’t want to tackle by yourself or just want the camaraderie and support of other MGers on-hand for the project. Please drop me an e-mail or give me a call.
At this time, we are planning to have a tech session on March 18th in St. Charles at 9 a.m. Please check the website or contact me for the most current information on the tech session as times and locations could change after the Driveline publication.
This month we will be evaluating the top end of a MGA engine. The engine has low compression on one cylinder. We will be pulling things apart to evaluate the head, valve condition, cylinder’s wear, and carbon build up. Even if you have some other model car, there will be something to learn and principles you may be able to apply to your own MG. So, please make plans to attend. Safety Fast!
