The 9th Annual
Missouri Endurance Rally
March 20-21, 2004 - St Louis, MO
It's just a few short weeks until the 2004 Missouri Endurance Rally is here. For those unfamiliar with an endurance rally, it is an event where each team is given a list of locations to which they must drive in their classic British car, then gain proof that they were there. Each team is responsible for determining the route they take to each location and the order in which they take them. The teams reaching all the locations and making it back to the finish within the allotted time, while covering the least number of miles, wins the rally. TheMissouri Endurance will also offer a Mini Missouri Endurance Trial option for those that prefer the shorter course to the full rally (half the stops, half the mileage, half the time, and half the calories - but not half the fun!). New for this year will be that the proof for the rally will be answering a set of questions at each stop instead of taking a picture. It's a great time with friendly competitors in great cars on great sports car roads in an incredibly scenic part of the country.
Endurance rallies are a true test of endurance for both the drivers and their cars - not to mention map-reading skills! The series is open to all pre-1981 British built cars. This will be the first leg of the new Triple Crown Endurance Rally Series. This exciting new challenge will hopefully become a popular event for many years to come. Why not plan on getting in from the start? Of course, you don't have to compete in all three to take part in any of the rallies since they are separate events in themselves. They are:
March 20-21, 2004 - St Louis, MO. 9th Annual Missouri Endurance Rally and 2nd Mini-Missouri Trial.
August 12-13, 2004 - Grand Rapids, MI. 12th Annual Grand Lake Tour, Held the Thursday before the University Motors Summer Party Reunion.
