The Steering Column

Here is one of my last articles and I forgot to write it. Had to be reminded twice.
Elections are next month and you will be voting for the 2003 slate of officers. If you want some one run (like yourself) please make a special effort to come to our next monthly meeting and join in the nominations. We have an exciting meeting planned for all of you. This will be the last regular meeting this year, because of the club’s Christmas party in December. This will be my last full meeting as your chairman and I would love to see as many of you there as possible. The January meeting will be the transfer of the gavel over to the new chairperson.
It’s not even the end of the driving season yet and already I have more winter (car) projects to keep me busy until spring. The one project that I have been putting off is the painting of my 67 B. Well that is going to happen this winter, even if I have to use spay cans from Wal-Mart. I am guessing that sometime in March I will have a tech session about striping off all the chrome stuff from it. Some of which will need a lot of convincing to come off do to an abounded supply of rust.
Just a friendly reminder: Dues for the 2003 year can be paid now if desired. Dues are still only $20.00/year, and now you can pay for multiple years if you would like to hedge against inflation.
Until next month (or driving event) "Safety Fast" to all of you.
