The Steering Column
by Maynard Hirsh, Club President
I hope that you have taken advantage of the mild
weather we've had and have been driving your cars. Unfortunately it won't
be too long before most cars are put away for the winter.
Speaking of winter, I hope all of you are planning to attend the Club's
Christmas Party at the 94th Aero Squadron. It's a neat place with good food.
Also, with winter approaching it's time to plan projects that will keep
a car off the road for a while. I'm planning to pull the engine on my 67
and find out why it doesn't accelerate properly. Remember, if any of you
need help with a project, let the club know. Often there are knowledgeable
people available who would be glad to lend a hand, or at the very least
stand by and offer advice.
Remember, elections are coming up. Without meaning to sound like a politician,
this is the time to let your voices be heard. And if you don't like the
way the club is being run, or the direction is taking, get yourself nominated.
Yes there is some work involved, but it is enjoyable and rewarding.
